TheyShootHorses charge by HALF-A-DAY rates plus traveling time. A typical shoot may take half-a-day plus half-a-day post production time. A larger whole-day-shoot would typically require a whole day of post production.
Location, Weather and Time of Day
The location of the photoshoot can also affect the cost of hiring an equine photographer. Photographers who are required to travel to a remote location or out of their usual service area may charge more to cover their travel expenses. Additionally, some locations may require permits or fees that can add to the overall cost of the photoshoot. Weather and Light is absolutely paramount in taking a picture that is exceptional vs one which is just acceptable. Being prepared to cancel due to the weather needs to be factored in to the booking cost, to ensure that the business is viable. Horse owners who are willing to facilitate a shoot on a very early summer morning, are often the owners who receive the best results. One mitigation against average light conditions is artificial lighting - this can create really interesting lighting effects.

TheyShootHorses also offer prints and wall art as a deliverable. Prints can be ordered in various sizes and mounting substrates. Prints and wall art can be ordered directly from the photographer or through a third-party printing service. Due to the complexity in the printing processes we strongly advise that you let us handle the printing.
